Beckenham Rugby Football Club

If your son starts Year 10 in September 2024, then they are very welcome to join us at the friendliest rugby club in South East London! We welcome players regardless of ability, experience, size or fitness level to join the Blue & Gold Family at Beckenham RFC.

At Beckenham RFC we aim to promote your child's rugby development by creating an environment that encourages fun, learning, confidence building, teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.

The coaching staff take care to ensure that all players are involved in the sessions, irrespective of ability and that everyone will get half a game of playing time in each match.

We have a series of fixtures for this season against local and further afield clubs. We will play in the Kent RFU Cup, before the traditional end of season squad tour.

Training takes place every Sunday between 12:30 am and 14:00 pm and every Wednesday between 6:00pm and 7:15pm during the September – April rugby season. Please look at the fixtures and results button to see where we are on any given weekend. After training, everyone is welcome to join the coaching staff in the clubhouse for a bite to eat and drink.

The only essential equipment your son will need is a moulded gum shield and a head-guard is recommended though not compulsory. As the weather cools down please make sure your son has a couple of thermal / compression base layers on. They can take them off if they get hot, but you can't put them on to warm up if you don't have them with you in the first place. Rugby gloves are also OK to use.
