We are extremely proud to say that our new kitchen, processes and food management have been awarded 5 Stars. Bromley council runs the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme to provide the public with clear information about the hygiene standards in all the places you can go to eat. The scheme is run in partnership between the Food Standards Agency and local authorities, in our case Bromley.

For those reading this news story it is worth taking a moment to understand how we have got to this position. For years the catering and hot drinks was contracted out but, during COVID, those providers couldn't make a profit from it and we were forced to take it in house. The service, which provides player food, over the counter service and catering for events, has been evolving and improving since then - meaning the money stays in the club. Sharon McHallum, who leads the catering as Dir of Operations, has worked (with others) to ensure that the right processes are in place. We have also invested in our local community, recruiting local staff, providing training and qualifications in food hygiene. The picture is of some of our most valued staff after their shift.

So, please come, buy some food and congratulate the team. Spread the word about the new facilities (the club relies on bookings throughout the summer month) and know that any money that you spend (buying food, coffee, hot chocolate) contributes to YOUR club.
