On the continued theme of good news stories, Beckenham are delighted to announce the return of Jake Caddy to the squad for the 24/25 season. Jake is a Beckenham lad through and through and spent his formative years with us, coming through the minis, juniors and academy before making his debut for the 1st XV in 2014 aged just 17.
It was very clear, very early that Jake had exceptional talent and that he would go far. He went on to play for Portsmouth University, represented England Students in the 7’s as well as Barbados 7’s.
Jake had a fantastic season at Beckenham in 2017 with a highlight being an outstanding performance against Medway which helped us beat them for the first time in a while! Medway went on to dominate the league that season making that win even more special and their only loss! He then went on to join Tunbridge Wells in 2018 and spent a season there before signing for Richmond and making his Championship debut in 2019 where he spent five years and made 50+ appearances across the back line.
It goes without saying that Jake brings real quality to Beckenham this season and we are very excited to welcome him back to BRFC to support the campaign this season, alongside brother Liam!
